| Dr. Stephen G. Hofmeir, BA, DC, CCSP, MUAC, CSCS |
Dr. Stephen Hofmeir graduated from Cleveland Chiropractic College, Kansas City in April 2002. While at Cleveland College, Dr. Hofmeir maintained a high level of academic achievement by earning deans list academic honors all three years. Dr. Hofmeir helped his instructors and fellow students by working as a teaching assistant in the radiology and orthopedic departments on campus. Upon graduation, Dr. Hofmeir was honored with several awards including: Who’s Who among Americas Colleges and Universities for his academic achievements, the clinic service award, for his integrity and commitment to patient care, and outstanding service as a teaching assistant in the department of radiology.
Before entering Chiropractic College, Dr. Hofmeir received his Bachelors degree in Kinesiology with a minor in Biology from the University of Colorado at Boulder. During his term at the University of Colorado, Dr. Hofmeir maintained his status as an Eisenhower-Evans scholar. The Eisenhower-Evan’s scholarship is the largest privately funded scholarship in the United States, which is granted to students who excel in academics, and are members of the Western Golf Association. During his undergraduate education, Dr. Hofmeir gained valuable work experience in several fields of health care. Dr. Hofmeir’s health care experiences include working as a trainer for the University of Colorado athletic department, a physical therapy assistant in a sports rehabilitation clinic, and as an assistant in a private dental office.
Since graduation, Dr. Hofmeir has gained valuable experience working as an associate in two prominent chiropractic practices in Albuquerque, New Mexico. In September of 2003 Dr. Hofmeir moved to Phoenix to establish a new chiropractic practice. In September of 2005, Dr. Hofmeir partnered with Dr. Nielson and founded West Valley Wellness & Rehabilitation PLLC.
Dr. Hofmeir has continued to pursue his academic achievements by attending several post graduate seminars on rehabilitation, nutrition and sports injuries. Dr. Hofmeir recently completed over 120 hours of post graduate training in sports medicine and in November of 2005 received his certification as a Chiropractic Sports Physician (C.C.S.P.). Dr. Hofmeir is currently working towards completing his 300 hour sports diplomat from the American Chiropractic Board of Sports Physicians. Dr. Hofmeir completed his training and proctorship in manipulation under anesthesia at the Arizona Surgical Specialist Center in Tempe. Dr. Hofmeir is one of the few Chiropractors in the United Sates who has hospital staff privileges, and is certified to perform Manipulation under Anesthesia (M.U.A.C.). In 2007, Dr. Hofmeir became a member of the National Strength and Condition Association and passed their rigorous examination to become certified as a Strength and Conditioning Specialists (C.S.C.S.).
Dr. Hofmeir resides in Surprise with his wife of many years Suzanne. Dr. Hofmeir enjoys the outdoors and participates in several recreational activities including hiking, mountain biking, skiing and snowboarding. Dr Hofmeir is an avid golfer and sports enthusiast. In addition to his sporting interests, Dr. Hofmeir also enjoys volunteering at his church and spending time with his family.

Nielson, BS, DC, FICPA, MUAC, NASM-CES

Dr. Jason Nielson was born and raised in Tucson, Arizona. Dr. Nielson graduated from Mt. View High School in 1995 and later attended Central Arizona College, and Pima Community College where he received his Associates Degree in Athletic Training & Sports Medicine.
At the age of 20 Dr. Nielson presented and published two articles at the Third Annual Arizona Athletic Trainers’ Association (AZATA) on “Spinal Assessment of the Athlete” and “Athletic Spinal Injury working with Emergency Personal”. Dr. Nielson’s health care experiences started at Central Arizona College working as a trainer for Men’s and Women’s Basketball, Softball and Track and Field
In September of 2002 Dr. Nielson received his Bachelors of Science in Human Anatomy and his Doctor of Chiropractic degree from Parker College of Chiropractic in Dallas, Texas. While in chiropractic school, Dr. Nielson was the President of Parker Colleges Pediatric Club, the Sports Council Club, and Vice President of the Neurology Club. In December of 2002 Dr. Nielson completed and received his Fellowship training from the International Chiropractic Pediatric Association (F.I.C.P.A.).
Dr. Nielson received his chiropractic license in Arizona and began practice in January 2003 in Mesa, Arizona. With a clinical practice in Alternative Medicine, Dr. Nielson sees patients with chronic un-resolved pain, neurological degenerative disorders, Fibromyalgia, and autoimmune diseases. His emphasis is in Transneural degeneration due to oxidative stress (neurological damage caused by free radicals in the body). This led him to speak locally on the subject of nutritional neurology. Since beginning clinical practice Dr. Nielson has spoken locally and nationally on Laser Therapeutics, Neurology, and a Wellness Approach to Health.
In September of 2005 Dr. Nielson completed his manipulation under anesthesia certification (M.U.A.C.). At the age of 28 Dr. Nielson is the youngest physician in Arizona to be appointed to be Chief of Chiropractic Staff at Arizona Surgical Specialists Center in Tempe, AZ and have Hospital privileges. Dr. Nielson is currently waiting to sit to be Board Certified in Pain Management, and is currently completing his Diplomat in Chiropractic Neurology, and Diplomat for the American Academy of Spine Physicians. Dr. Nielson recently passed the National Academy of Sports Medicine Corrective Exercise Specialists (C.E.S.).
In September of 2005, Dr. Nielson partnered with Dr. Hofmeir and founded West Valley Wellness & Rehabilitation PLLC.
Dr. Nielson resides in Tolleson, Arizona with his wonderful wife and his two sons. In Dr. Nielson’s spare time he loves to read and enjoys being in the outdoors, however he loves to be home with his family every chance he can get.
