What Is Chiropractic

The Chiropractic philosophy is based on the idea that the body is self-sustaining and self-healing organism controlled by the nervous system (brain, spinal cord and peripheral nerves). It is believed that any abnormal position, or motion of the skeletal system (vertebrae and joints) will disrupt proper nervous system function leading to pain, dysfunction and disease.

Chiropractic as a health care profession focuses on treating disorders of the nervous system and musculoskeletal system, with manipulation, manual therapy and therapeutic procedures. Chiropractic care is most often utilized to treat neuromusculoskeletal complaints, including but not limited to headaches, neck pain,  back pain, sciatica, pain in the joints and injuries caused by sports, work and motor vehicle injuries.
